Nightwater is a surprisingly captivating automation adventure that combines satisfying production chains, rewarding exploration, enjoyable minigames, and charming cel-shaded visuals with an unexpectedly emotional mystery and memorable conclusion. Its accessible approach makes it a great alternative to more complex factory builders, with only a few minor interface shortcomings and reported controller and performance issues holding back an otherwise excellent experience.
