Insider Trading has certainly become a very solid roguelite deckbuilder, carrying potential for more within itself. The unique setting centered on manipulating stock prices appealed to me greatly. It offers unexpected possibilities to steer the card design in truly creative directions. I also really appreciated the complexity. Constantly keeping track of the progression, anticipating the start of the coming week, sustainably optimizing the deck and perks while still meeting the quota—that all feels remarkably coherent and is enjoyable. That the game runs out of steam after a few days because repetitions accumulate too heavily is a shame. Additionally, even after gaining practice, a run can take up to three-quarters of an hour. All of this causes the stock price of Insider Trading to decline in my estimation.
