NASCAR Heat Evolution is a fantastic game in practice, but has a terrible presentation elsewhere. At the end of the day, this makes NASCAR Heat Evolution a disappointing title rather than a full-fledged trip into victory lane. With some amazing features available, but near impossible to enjoy, NASCAR Heat Evolution is a game that will only please hardcore NASCAR or racing game fans.

I was surprised at how much fun the career mode could be for someone who doesn’t follow the sport religiously. Monster Games has reinvigorated the series they began, and it is a solid product for someone looking for authentic NASCAR racing. It’s a shame the online multiplayer is lacking, and I would want to see what the developers could do with a more robust game engine.

There are some great moments out on the track thanks to the competitive A.I. Elsewhere the feature set offers enough to keep you interested

Heat Evolution captures the essence of Nascar, it just doesn't do it with any excitement making the experience feel empty.

NASCAR Heat definitely delivers a fun and authentic on-track experience but fails to totally capture the NASCAR weekend experience.

Poor graphics and presentation disguise a really strong core racing experience as NASCAR makes its gaming bow on current-gen consoles.

NASCAR Heat Evolution is an okay re-introduction to the sport. It’s not terrible but yet, it’s not great. I am excited to see the future improvements and additions they make for a sequel, as this game has the potential to be wonderful. After such a long hiatus, you have to start somewhere.

With its 40-car grids creating exciting racing, NASCAR Heat Evolution is surprisingly fun, but is unlikely to appeal to anyone but fans of the sport.

The entertaining racing delivers a good foundation for the series, but there’s just not enough depth in this package to consider this a complete experience.

Nascar Heat Evolution is a devolution for the series, and even when playing friends online, I can't imagine how you'd have fun with this game for more than a few hours - if you even make it that long.

Sad as I am to say, NASCAR Heat Evolution is one to stay away from unless you are the most die-hardiest of NASCAR fans and are quite apologetic for its dismal online play, bizarre progression system (level up by unlocking tracks, and vice versa), and stale audio.

NASCAR Heat Evolution is a thoroughly disappointing release. It’s pretty bad when PlayStation 2 games were more fully featured and fun to play than a new release in 2016. Monster Games have proven in the past that they are a talented developer, and NASCAR fans deserve a better video game than this. I’m just left wondering where everything went wrong. Dig up an old Electronic Arts NASCAR game instead, you’ll have more fun.

You may be tempted to make the rounds with NASCAR Heat Evolution, but, honestly, you’re better off just watching the races at home.

NASCAR Heat Evolution is the only dedicated NASCAR show in town on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, but it’s sadly beaten in terms of depth and realism by games that were released over a decade ago.

NASCAR Heat Revolution is going for the audience it has and long gave up convincing you that NASCAR is a worthwhile video game. Visuals aren’t acceptable on PS4 level tech, or even PS3 tech. The most disappointing part is no real damage system.
