Prey is a fun lille sci fi romp in space. I enjoyed playing through the story and had fun messing around the space station. Love the enemy designs and there was a few different varieties. Would have loved to see more enemy types, late game kinda feels like fighting the
Prey starts off very well—brilliantly, in fact—but rather quickly loses its edge and appeal, due to a poorly blended mix of gameplay details, narrative development, and game mechanics. The result is a lingering sense of frustration and disappointment, as if something with great potential slipped through the cracks.
The strongest part
Honestly would be perfect if the combat felt a little less clunky. Everything else about the game is so artistically fantastic, unique and engaging.
Prey has a unique setting, I'll give it that, but there are many detriments. There are also games that have done better, such as Control which has a much more phenomenal combat system and story, or Alien who leans into the horror and sneak mechanics a lot more yet having
Underrated game.
Prey has great level design and such emergent gameplay that it was so fun to play, the atmosphere in the Space ship made for a fine immersive-sim experience, the soundtrack is fits the game so well and exploring the station was a pleasure
