The fun loving nature of this game and the unique quality it brings to the puzzle genre make this game perfect. It all fits together so well, from the loading screen to the characters, nothing is out of place or feels awkward. The amount of content means that you can just keep going back again and again, working out new ways to defeat the levels with friends.

No matter how you cut it, Snipperclips is a gem of the Switch eShop, presenting a fresh puzzle experience that is daring and delightfully peculiar. If we’re all lucky, Snipperclips will take off and become the next Pushmo or BoxBoy from Nintendo, showing up every year or so with new puzzles and wrinkles. If you’re looking for a game to compliment Breath of the Wild, this is a grand one.

Snipperclips offers hours of head-scratching puzzle fun with you and a friend. The price point is fair for the number of levels and modes it offers to encourage you to come back to work with your friends in party mode or take them on in Blitz mode. The difficulty curve is steep and some of the puzzles are too cryptic, but with determination and proper communication, you can tackle any problem. Make sure you bring a friend!

With a clever idea for 2D physics-based puzzle solving and a bright and colorful personality, Snipperclips: Cut it Out, Together! is a good experience by yourself and a great one with friends. Solving every puzzle won’t take too long, but Snipperclips is continuously clever in its puzzle design and adorably fun to watch play. It left me eagerly waiting to reunite more frogs, put together more cat puzzles, and solve whatever other odd challenges developer SFB Games might have in mind.

Snipperclips - Cut It Out, Together! is an impressive showing both as far as first-round Nintendo Switch games go and puzzle titles in general. It’s a bargain for the amount of time you’ll get out of it, and it’s rife with color, intrigue, challenging puzzles, and adorable graphics. The only real problems arise from the fact that it’s meant to be played with others, so if that’s not your bag you won’t get as much out of it. For everyone else, however, this is a system-seller, especially since you can enjoy it on the go. You’ll want to cut in on a Snipperclips session, that’s for sure.

If dynamic interaction is what makes two-player collaborative games fun and addictive, Snipperclips certainly excels at that. Through cutting, moving and rotating parts, this experience stands out as original, fun and creative, reaching its peak when played by two players, while its solo mode, as well as 3 and 4-player experience, will feel less authentic when compared to its 2-player challenges, which will bring forth many hours of fun and witty puzzles to any pair of players.

Snipperclips is arguably the best surprise of the Nintendo Switch launch, providing a fun and charming puzzle experience while also bringing back the joys of couch co-op and competition. It's not as fun when played solo and doesn't give you much reason to replay finished stages. What a hidden gem! Snipperclips: Cut it Out, Together is a definite must-buy on Nintendo Switch, showing off not just a fantastic idea with great puzzles, but driving home the team-work element that works so well on Switch thanks to its 'play anywhere, anytime' ethos. Sit with a friend, get family members involved, or even go it alone, play it in tabletop mode, portable, or even on the big screen - whatever the case, it all works perfectly. This is going to eat away at the hours, without a doubt. SFB Games and Nintendo have struck gold with this one.

Snipperclips: Cut it out, together! is a very good puzzle game on the Switch's eShop that is a perfect showcase of the easy local co-op capabilities of the Switch's core design. That said, the lack of content and replay value makes it necessary that we get some DLC or Nintendo greenlights a sequel promptly to keep the party going for a bit longer. For now, the game's style will make it stand out on the Switch during this launch period as a title to get while we wait for more Switch games to be released.

Snipping your construction paper friends into different shapes is a clever idea, and one that will test the limits of your real-life friendships. Fun paper-slicingg gameplay provides plenty amusing multiplayer puzzle-solving moments, despite the relative lack of challenge. If you're looking to move beyond the most obvious of the Nintendo Switch's launch line-up, you could do far worse than to invest in the Joy-Con and Snipperclips bundle. It captures the essence of the likes of Overcooked!, but with a clear emphasis on using shapes to solve the physics puzzles. Yes, there is a limited amount of content and that hampers the appeal somewhat, but it's a great icebreaker at house parties.

Snipperclips is certainly a surprise, something that you don’t see at the launch of a new platform all that often. While featuring both a single-player and local multiplayer experience, Snipperclips is at its best when played with others. The lack of Pro Controller support is regrettable, but sharing Joy-Cons with a family member or friend and working together to solve a puzzle is quite enjoyable. With that said, there isn’t too many reasons to play through the game multiple times, and Snipperclips is a digital-only experience. If the game added daily or weekly challenges, there would be a reason to return to the game once you figured out the solutions to the included puzzles.
