FIFA 18 Reviews
FIFA 18 is an unexpected step backwards from its predecessor. The Journey and most of the other modes got some unimaginative updates and the perfomance on the field is filled with inconsistencies in terms of player AI and the balance between attackers and defense that you wouldn't expect after FIFA 17. Fans of ultimate team and FIFA Veterans will still get some fun out of the countless game modes the game has to offer.

All in all, though, FIFA 18 on the Nintendo Switch is a really good football game and probably the one we realistically hoped we'd get when it was first announced. Those coming from the other systems might be a little put off because all the bells and whistles aren't there but most of the important things are, and that's what matters most.
The action on the field is a bit more nuanced; the presentation has been spruced up; and there's a new chapter of the Journey to digest. But at its heart, FIFA 18 is much the same as its always been: the sort of fast and frantic soccer game you play on the couch with your friends. And that makes it plenty fun.
The FIFA series has been going on for so long that the fans already know what to expect. First and foremost, FIFA 18 is a fast and flashy football game which shouldn't disappoint you if you're looking for an arcade experience.
