One Piece: Unlimited World Red - Deluxe Edition Reviews
Unlimited World Red Deluxe Edition is bursting with a ton of fun content that's contained within the vibrant and wacky world of One Piece.
While there aren’t many other action games in this style on the Nintendo Switch yet, there are better games to buy unless you’re wanting a trip down nostalgia lane.
When One Piece originally debuted it wasn’t to a huge reception and bringing it to the Switch seems like it was a simple enough of an idea to provide a portable version on Nintendo latest console. That could have been a selling point but it having debuted portable on Vita and 3DS, maybe not. Which really just makes this release seem all the more weird. It’s a mildly entertaining game for players looking for something anime like to play, ad a bit more for those who are actually fans of the franchise, yet were still looking at a bare bones port that most likely no one was really asking for. Only the most diehard of fans will most likely grab it again.
One Piece: Unlimited World Red does its job when it comes to fan-service and entertains you for several hours. It's pretty difficult to get into the universe as a newcomer though since nothing ever is explained to you. But if you are new to One Piece and have a friend sitting next to you explaining stuff this game really is fun to play.

One Piece: Unlimited World Red Deluxe Edition has so much potential to be a great game. It’s attractive, colourful, and well written, with a stack of content and a great soundtrack to match. I can’t lie, I really did enjoy this title a lot. But, the limited combat and poor camera control do underwhelm. As a Deluxe Edition for a five-year-old game, there was plenty of opportunity to build on these foundations to truly make it the definitive version.
If you love One-Piece and haven’t played the base game or all the DLC for this title, I can highly recommend it. None-fans, I’d watch a couple of episodes of the anime first, but it’s still worth your time; just beware the lack of an English voice track.
One Piece: Unlimited World Red – Deluxe Edition is a pleasant action adventure game that stumbles due to a lack of gameplay variety and a tacked-on story.
One of the best One Piece games out there. Even though it is a 3DS game, the jump to next gen consoles fitted perfectly. The action/adventure gameplay with simple combat mechanics fits the Straw Hat Pirate better than one vs one or musou. Plus, the original story feels like a whole new anime arc.
