One of the most beautiful stories I've ever seen/played -- had me in tears a few times -- very touching! Masterclass in video game narrative, balance, action and perfection.
The only bad thing I can say is about the combat. Somehow every lousy enemy can interrupt Kratos' heavy attack, but Kratos himself has to dodge all heavy attacks. Apart from this minor annoyance, the game is great.

As good as video game storytelling gets. I've never cared as much about a story and its characters in a video game than I have here, it's a masterpiece. The only thing holding it back from a 5/5 is the lack of enemy and boss variety.
Love the story and gameplay. And I even like Artreus. Fighting is so much fun
One of the best games I've ever played. Both story and gameplay are simply amazing and the axe is the best feeling melee weapon I've ever used in a video game.

This is the kind of reboot a long running series needs, especially as we see a side of Kratos we've never seen before.
Beat the main story, and it was phenomenal. Its one shot take made it feel like a continuous movie that kept you on your heels. However, the enemy types were very similar.
Good, gameplay was downgraded from previous games but still better than most stuff you see out there. Interesting to see the different direction of Kratos' character.
