Boiling Bolt is definitely different from other shoot 'em ups I have played, which is a pro and a con for the game. The way the playing field is limited will challenge even the more seasoned players of the genre. The game is short since there are only five main levels, but there's enough in there to keep speedrunners busy for a while. If you're a fan of the genre, this one might be right up your alley, as long as you're ready for a game that will test your skills to the max.
Boiling Bolt primarily appeals to hardcore arcade shooter fans who are looking for a challenging experience but even casual gamers will find it hard not to admire its gorgeous presentation and rewarding gameplay.
