Monster Loves You Reviews
Monster Loves you is entertaining enough for the first couple of plays, but it definitely doesn't last. This short title fails to leave much of an impression, unfortunately.
It won't keep you hooked forever, but thanks to its gorgeous art style, witty writing and lovable monsters, it will keep you entertained for a while.
Monster Loves You is a charming and minimalist story-book style adventure. It is heavy on the text, so if you're not into games such as visual novels, then you're not going to enjoy this one. Each run is going to take around 30 minutes or so, and if you want to 100% the game, you will need to get all 14 endings that the game has to offer. Be sure to check this one out!
Monster Loves You is a carefully crafted storybook experience that works splendidly with the Switch, allowing controller or touch screen interfacing. It’s one of those games that’s great to be played as a bedtime story for your kids, or just on your own as you please. There’s a lot of endings, with even more decision outcomes in the heart of the game. Watching your monster grow up is a clever story arc and one with a lot of fun to be read along the way. With the price point of $9.99 at the time of this writing, I’d equate this to picking up a Choose-Your-Own-Adventure book. There’s a lot of enjoyable reading here for the value.
Monster Loves You is one of those games that are always a welcome surprise. Simple gameplay, which can be fun for a many hours of play. Like old adventure books of the 80s you can be both nasty and nice with your monster. Which way you go is completely up to you. Those who are not put off by the English language will get an entertaining title that also makes them happy as a couple or as a group. Thumbs up from me!
