GeMs_unreal Rocket League Review

I just wanted to say that this game is truly one of the best and one of the most iconic games I've played in my gaming life, it's such a very unique game with nice vibrant colors and good graphics. I'd never thought I would see a soccer game with cars instead of real people. It's like if FIFA had replaced humans with cars and make the ball vast. Loved the overall experience of the game like learning the mechanics, rotation, the car movement, figuring out tricks to get better at the game, super fun to play with friends and learning different playstyles. I really like the game cosmetics, truly you can make one of the best cool looking cars in the game and I feel like that's what stood out the most for me in this game. I used to love making flashy/clean and basic car designs. For some reason psyonix really nailed the look of the cosmetics in this game compared to any other sports/racing games in my opinion, every time when I grind the game to earn some cool looking items, it feels really rewarding to get them and its worthwhile. Trading was such a fantastic feature to the game at some point as well, instead of spending money on the cosmetics, you can play matches to earn items and use them to trade for other items with players but now it doesn't seem to the case anymore since epic games now owns the game and decided to remove trading due to them adding cross game ownership. Now they want people to spend their cash on the item shops instead of them profiting from trading with no additional cost, kind of a greedy move on their part to be honest but I'm glad I got the experience of it from 2016 to 2023. It's unfortunate that newer players will never get the experience of rocket league trading, but I will say that even without trading the game is still enjoyable to play. I had fun memories of the game, met a lot of online friends over the years, making content on my YouTube channel playing the game, mostly trading. I definitely would recommend this game to the people that never got to play this game yet, it's still a fun game to play till this day.
