Makin11 Ghost of Yotei Review
Oct 17, 2025
Ghost of Yotei looks amazing, plays smooth, and every fight feels like it’s got weight. The map is huge and alive, every area got that perfect detail that makes you stop just to look around. Combat feels clean, fast, satisfying — they nailed that part.
But story wise, I just didn’t feel it. The cutscenes don’t hit, and the soundtrack… man, it’s just there. nothing special, nothing that stays with you. like, in Tsushima, every time the music hit and the story turned heavy, I got chills. I even cried a bit for Jin’s struggle, how he fought with what’s right and what’s necessary. here, it’s just missing that heart.
Yotei gives you the action, the world, all that good stuff. but when you finish a mission, it doesn’t leave that same mark. like, remember the YARIKAWA mission in Tsushima? that one still gives me chills thinking about it. Yotei doesn’t have that kind of moment for me.
still, it’s a solid game. fun to play, looks beautiful, and I enjoyed most of it. but it’s not one of those you call “the best.” maybe close, but not there.
