MVP Rocket League Review

One of the most toxic and garbage communities in gaming. Going free to play was a huge mistake. After spending countless hours working my way out of ELO H3LL, I was rewarded with 5 straight games of AFK/disconnect teammates and bumped right back down to the pit. Smurf accounts run rampant and Epic does literally nothing to stop them. If you play this game you have to accept that roughly 2 out of 5 games are lost from the start because of teammates that rage quit or because of a super high level opponent playing on a smurf to boost their friends or people paying for the boost. Countless people on this game are legitimately too stupid to set their home region server in the settings and as a result EVERY game has at least one person on a 100+ ping making the experience worse for everyone else. They removed the trading system and ruined the store. The matchmaking is setup to punish you and keep you addicted with a rollercoaster EOMM system. It is truly pathetic. I bought the game on Xbox several years ago and it was a much better experience when it cost money. I have over 200 hours on the game, I have reached D3 several times, and played frequently with friends in the champ bracket. Nothing about this game or grinding it will bring you enjoyment when the randomness and ineffective policing of bad actors in the community will eventually cause you to crash out. I have uninstalled today and will not be looking back.
