I’m a sucker for Metroidvania games and have played my fair share of them. Recently, I discovered a new indie-developed title called ReSenta, and it seems like it might be right up my alley—and yours too.
Developed by the Croatian studio Today’s Games, ReSenta is a 2.5D sci-fi Metroidvania set in a dark and unforgiving world. Civilization has long been abandoned, leaving the planet as a mere shadow of its former self. But with the world on the brink of collapse, things are getting even worse: a mysterious signal is driving the planet’s robots into violent frenzies. It’s up to ReSenta and her drone companion, IXA, to uncover the source of the signal and put an end to the chaos.

ReSenta is set to launch on Nintendo Switch and PC (via Steam) on January 31, 2025, with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions arriving in Q1 2025.
