Currently in Early Access, Dark and Darker is a unique dungeon crawling experience that focuses on PvPvE play. This means that players do battle not just against each other, but also the environment around them.
You and your party will work together to obtain weapons, armor, and important upgrades while you attempt to escape the dungeon alive. But you're not alone, as you also have to endure the attacks from like-minded parties trying to escape. It's a unique twist on the Battle Royale genre that conjures feelings of tabletop RPG campaigns.

Dark and Darker has not been without controversy, however. In 2023, the game was removed from Steam due to claims by Nexon of copyright infringement, with Dark and Darker sharing elements of another game in development at Nexon. The case would be dismissed later that year and would eventually return to digital storefronts.
