It appears that some of the maps in Phasmophobia might be too haunted to be saved, as one player found out when the crucifix that is meant to save them from a ghost hunt attempted to flee. Phasmophobia launched back in September 2020 and took the world by storm after groups of friends realized how fun and quirky the title can be with a few of its infamous glitches. Since then, fans have kept finding silly things that make the game so engaging, including the ghost-hunting items seemingly taking on a life of their own.

In a recent Reddit post from ozarkthefloof, a short eight-second video showcases a crucifix sliding away from the home and almost completely out the door, almost as if it is attempting to run from the ghost itself. The crucifix in Phasmophobia is used to stop a ghost from hunting, which gives players time to escape the unruly hands of fate and check their sanity levels if need be. This time around, it seemed like even the item needed to ward off the angry spirits thought it was a good idea to leave.
