Ducks in Stardew Valley can swim, but they don't seem to want to very often, so one fan has shared their secret method of getting ducks out in the water for a daily dip. Stardew Valley is a cozy farming simulator that lets players grow crops, form relationships with the townsfolk, and, of course, raise farm animals. Stardew Valley's ducks have been able to swim in the farm's ponds since Update 1.5, but it's been a fairly rare occurrence.

The game's ducks don't need to swim and can live fulfilled and happy lives regardless of how often they spend out on the water, but it seems to make fans happy to see the cute little pixel ducks contentedly floating on the farm's bodies of water. Luckily, Reddit user ThinkTyler has come up with a way to get ducks to swim in nearby ponds on a more regular basis. They say, "If you put your coop a tile away from the water, they jump in every day!"

In other words, all players need to do to encourage daily laps in the pond is to place the coop close to a body of water, with just a single tile between the coop...
