Pokemon TCG Pocket Comes Out at Perfect Time for DeNA

The release of Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket could not have come at a better time for co-developer DeNA, according to a recent report from the developer. The mobile version of the massively popular trading card game has seen huge success over its first two months, with staggering player counts and earnings for the game. The mobile game quickly earned over $120 million in sales within just three weeks of its Halloween launch, also boasting more than 60 million downloads. Now, the game's success has spread to one of its developers as well.

While not holding the same clout as The Pokemon Company, fans of Nintendo's mobile games are likely familiar with DeNA. DeNA has its hands in many of the Japanese gaming titan's most popular mobile titles, ranging from Fire Emblem Heroes and Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp to Super Mario Run and Mario Kart Tour. The developer has also worked on mobile games for a variety of other Japanese franchises, including One Piece, Attack on Titan, and Duel Masters. Now, Pokemon TCG Pocket has reportedly been a savior to DeNA's performance this year.
