Monster Hunter Wilds director Yuya Tokuda and art director Kaname Fujioka recently spoke at length about the changes to weapons that will be featured in the upcoming sixth main entry of the Capcom franchise. Monster Hunter Wilds is the successor to 2018’s Monster Hunter: World, and is scheduled to release on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. The main takeaways from the new entry include open-world biomes and the brand-new Seikret mount, with gameplay focusing particularly on tailoring a seamless hunting experience for players.

At the start of the year, Capcom announced the second beta test for Monster Hunter Wilds, which is scheduled to begin in February 2025. The second run will include content from the first test, a new monster hunt, with character carryover, and the team will continue to refine gameplay based on feedback before the game’s full launch on February 28, 2025. Players can also expect to face the Gypceros within the second beta test, and all participants will be given an OBT 2 Bonus Item Pack to carry over into the full game.
