Legendary Creator Hironobu Sakaguchi Desires Final Game To Be A “Successor” Of Sorts To Final Fantasy VI

While the gaming industry is different from other careers in many ways, the endgame is always the same. Eventually, you stop making games. Some people do it as long as possible or attempt to be “part of the process” in other ways. Others find meaning in “getting out” while they feel they’re on top. For Hironobu Sakaguchi, he’s been in the gaming industry for decades, and we owe a lot to him, including the birth of the Final Fantasy series. As such, it shouldn’t be surprise that he wants his last game to be like Final Fantasy VI, which is one of the best in the entire series.

This reveal came in an interview with The Verge, where the creator talked about his long career, the current state of JRPGs, and so on. When talking about his latest game, Fantasian Neo Dimension, he noted this:

We wish Hironobu Sakaguchi the best in his final gaming effort. He absolutely deserves to go out on a high note.
