As Genshin Impact continues to receive regular updates, the game's next patch is revisiting a popular event in one of its previous regions, while also introducing a new character. Originally released in 2020, Genshin Impact quickly became a breakout hit for HoYoverse, granting the studio a large amount of mainstream success which then carried over to its later games, Honkai: Star Rail and Zenless Zone Zero. Even after the launch of two other ongoing games, though, Genshin has continued to be a strong performer for HoYoverse and continues to receive major updates.
As announced in the Genshin Impact 5.4 Special Program, the game's next patch, releasing on February 12, will revisit the Mikawa Flower Festival in Inazuma and introduce Yumemizuki Mizuki, a 5-star Anemo support character who can heal allies and boost Swirl reaction damage. Notably, the patch will not include any major content updates for the game's newest region, Natlan, but will include four other events and three other character banners to serve as re-runs of past banners.
