Geralt's Voice Actor Says "Very Few" Games Have Matched The Witcher 3's Storytelling

When CD Projekt Red released The Witcher 3: WIld Hunt in May 2015, it was something of a revelation. At the time, the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One were still new (both released in 2013), and neither arguably had their "Wow" title, showcasing the potential for gaming moving forward.

The Witcher 3 did just that and then some with its two post-launch DLC expansions, Heart of Stone and Blood and Wine. As a result, The Witcher as a franchise, which had a smaller dedicated fanbase, blew up, with many taking an interest in the world, including the powers that be at Netflix. It also put CDPR on the map as a video game developer.
