Shortly after Team Ninja made the surprise announcement of two Ninja Gaiden releases, the studio also revealed that its other most recent game, Rise of the Ronin, will be making its way to Steam. Originally released exclusively for the PlayStation 5 in March 2024, Rise of the Ronin is an open-world action RPG with combat that closely resembles Team Ninja's other Soulslike offerings, Nioh and Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. Also, similarly to the Nioh games, Rise of the Ronin is now set to receive a PC release about a year after its original launch date.
As revealed via an announcement trailer on YouTube, Rise of the Ronin is set to be released on Steam on March 11, 2025, with some enhanced graphics options, support for ultra-wide monitors, and customizable controls for keyboard and mouse. The game is listed at $49.99 USD, down from its standard $69.99 price on the PS5, and is being published on Steam by Koei Tecmo, as opposed to Sony Interactive Entertainment.
