A number of new rumors have popped up for Resident Evil 8, giving us a possible peek at the rumored title.

According to the rumors from YouTube channel Residence of Evil, Resident Evil 8 will stick to the first-person perspective that Resident Evil 7 introduced to the series. The game's title will not be accompanied with a number, but will instead go by a "clever title." The game will once again star Ethan, the main character from Resident Evil 7. The game will also feature Chris Redfield in some capacity, though it is not clear what his involvement in the game will be. Ethan's journey in Resident Evil 8 will take him to a village, and will eventually lead him to a castle. According to the rumors, the game's environment will be rural, mountainous, and snowy, similar to what we saw in Resident Evil 4.

Resident Evil 8 (or whatever it ends up being called) will see the return of zombies. There will also be "wolf-like" creatures, quite possibly werewolves of some kind. There will also be a female ghost that will chase players through the game, but will dissipate whenever she is shot.

These new rumors line up with information that Eurogamer received from sources close to Resident Evil publisher Capcom, as well as what other industry insiders have heard. The publisher is staying quiet on the claims, and has not confirmed the existence of Resident Evil 8 at the time of writing.

The latest title in the Resident Evil series is the remake of Resident Evil 3, which releases on April 3rd. The game will see some changes being made to the plot and will drop the fixed camera perspective for an over-the-shoulder viewpoint. It will come packaged with Resident Evil: Resistance, an asymmetrical multiplayer mode that sees a group of survivors try to escape a Mastermind.
