Over the past few days, the news coming from BioWare has been bleak. First, it was reported that Dragon Age: The Veilguard had reached 1.5 million players, failing to meet EA's expectations by 50 percent. Then, it was revealed that BioWare was undergoing restructuring to make it a more "agile, focused studio". Judging from all the devs now looking for jobs, this was corporate speak for layoffs.
As part of this, what remains of BioWare will now be solely focused on Mass Effect. This has left Dragon Age fans devastated, as the chances of getting another game seem slim. However, long-time Dragon Age writer Sheryl Chee has some words of wisdom: Dragon Age isn't dead as long as fans are passionate about it.
Chee made these comments over on Bluesky, reflecting on the change in direction and job losses over at BioWare.
