The Kickstarter campaign for a modern day port of The Wonderful 101 launched recently, and has already blasted through the original goal.

A Kickstarter started for The Wonderful 101: Remastered began on Monday, February 3rd, and has far surpassed the original goal. Developer Platinum Games originally set a goal for $50,000, but has reached over $750,000 (at the time of writing). The campaign was originally meant for a Nintendo Switch version of the game, but will now be coming to other platforms through stretch goals. These stretch goals included a Steam version at $250,000, and a PlayStation 4 version at $500,000. The next two stretch goals are a Time Attack mode at $1,00,000, and a bonus 2D side scrolling adventure called Luka's First Mission, which will unlock at $1,500,000.

Those who want to donate to The Wonderful 101: Remastered's campaign still can. Pledge rewards include a copy of the game (both digital and physical), as well as the game's soundtrack (digital and physical) and a keychain. Higher pledges will be rewarded with a T-shirt, a comic, and a block on Twitter by the game's director, Hideki Kamiya. The really high pledges will be rewarded with items such as custom controllers and a leather jacket.

The Wonderful 101 was originally a Wii U title that released in 2013. The action-adventure title was developed by Platinum Games, and was originally published by Nintendo. In the game, players take control of the Wonderful Ones, heroes from all over the world who have come together to defend the Earth from extraterrestrial threats. When these threats come to Blossom City, the Wonderful Ones suit up and come together to save the day.

While a specific release date was not given for The Wonderful 101: Remastered, the rewards for those who pledge just enough to get a copy of the game will receive it in April according to Kickstarter. Those who pledge enough to receive physical rewards can expect those to arrive in November.
