Rockstar Steam Sale Results In Massive Player Surge For Red Dead Redemption 2

Red Dead Redemption 2 may have been released on Steam in 2019, but Rockstar Games' sequel to the original Red Dead Redemption has just set a new record for concurrent players.

The culprit? A massive sale that has dropped the 2018 title to its lowest price ever.

Over on SteamDB, a website that tracks all things Steam related, including price history, patches and player concurrents, Red Dead Redemption 2 has achieved an all-time peak of 99,993 concurrent players. That mark was set just seven hours ago, and at the time of writing, 66,863 players are still actively playing.

That figure reset a record that was set late last month, when 86,717 players booted up the game on PC.

Prior to the sale, the game hit 77,655 players in November 2023. At its launch in 2019, it topped 55,271 concurrents, with various ebbs and flows in the time since then.

As for the sale itself, the game is being offered at $14.99 for its base edition, and $19.99 for the Ultimate Edition. It's part of a massive sale for Rockstar titles...
