Batman: Arkham Shadow has hit an impressive milestone, with over one million people having played the game. The VR-exclusive Batman title expands the world of the incredibly popular Arkham series of games, which stretches back to 2009's Batman: Arkham Asylum. Fast-forward to 2025, and much like Batman himself, the caped crusader's video games have adapted and expanded when it comes to technology, with the release of Batman: Arkham Shadow proving to be a big hit.
Released in October 2024, Batman: Arkham Shadow is a bold and ambitious release as it not only plunges players into a brand-new Batman story but does so exclusively in virtual reality. This technology has existed for quite some time, though some games struggle to use VR to its full potential. This is not the case with Arkham Shadow, which blends the fighting and detective gameplay fans have come to know and love from the Arkham series with an immersive and incredibly convincing first-person point of view.
