Watch Dogs has received a surprise update on Steam, finally adding achievements to the eleven-year-old title. Watch Dogs was originally released for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC back in 2014, but the first installment in Ubisoft's open-world action-adventure series was without achievements on Steam for over a decade. Thankfully, the title has received an unexpected update on the platform that finally adds the feature fans have been begging for.

As one of the biggest developers and publishers in gaming, for many years Ubisoft has required PC players to download and install games via the Ubisoft Connect app. However, with the upcoming release of Assassin's Creed Shadows, the studio announced it would be releasing all of its upcoming titles on Steam on day one. Since the announcement, Ubisoft has been working tirelessly to bring Steam achievements to various titles such as Far Cry 5, Far Cry 6, Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag, and many more. And it doesn't look like the studio is done just yet as Watch Dogs has become the latest title to receive the same treatment.
