Sega's 2024/25 fiscal year results show that the company's year-on-year revenue has dropped by 8%. Although Sega dropped several popular games along with a hit movie during 2024, plenty of people are waiting for the company to reveal its next projects. Alongside known projects like a Jet-Set Radio revival among a batch of dormant IP comebacks, gamers are hoping that whatever unannounced Sonic and Persona games are on the way will help Sega recover.

Sega has had an interesting year, with the success of games like Persona 3: Reload and Metaphor: ReFantazio leading to a wave of hype and critical acclaim for the business. Fans are looking forward to what the next steps are for the company, as many projects are under way, including the mysterious Sega super game set for 2026. These properties could reel in a larger audience than the last few releases have, but before things get any better, Sega has had to account for some losses.

Sega fans have a few fun things to look forward to this year, but the publisher may be keeping a few tricks up its sleeve for bigger surprises.
