New Xbox Game is a Co-Op Soulslike

A new co-op Soulslike game, titled Slime Heroes, is scheduled to land on Xbox Series X/S and PC on February 13, 2025, with other ports to follow. As a result, the action RPG will be an Xbox console exclusive title for a limited time.

Soulslike games, which are known for their high difficulty and environmental storytelling, have assembled a large fan-base in the past decade, thanks to monumental entries like Bloodborne and Elden Ring. Interestingly, other developers have also tried their hand at the subgenre with considerable success so far, with an example being Lies of P by Neowiz Games and Round8 Studio. In the very near future, Slime Heroes by Pancake Games is set to be the latest Soulslike game, while offering a very different yet amusing take on the genre with an added co-op flavor.

Difficulty has been a hot topic surrounding FromSoftware for quite some time, and Doom: The Dark Ages might actually have the answer.
