After almost 24 hours of being offline, the PlayStation Network is finally back up and running. For the past 24 hours, PlayStation fans have been unable to log into their account, make purchases from the PlayStation store, play online games, or do anything that requires a network connection. Fans were outraged, not only due to the worldwide outage, but due to the lack of communication from Sony about the issue at hand.
Now, finally, Sony has announced that the PlayStation Network is fully functional once again, stating via X, "PSN has been restored. You should be able to access online features without any problems now." While there is no explanation as to why the outage occurred in the first place, PlayStation users can use their consoles with all of its features once again.
While outages are mostly unavoidable, gamers are more upset over the lack of communication from Sony during the downtime. User Val Merdeaux on X states, "Unacceptable lack of communication. We pay for your services. Many people make plans to play together on the weekend.
