The PlayStation Network is back online after going down Friday evening, ending a roughly 24-hour period that left PlayStation users unable to play multiplayer games or access other online services. Given the popularity of PSN, it goes without saying that many people were affected by the lengthy outage.

Reports began to emerge on Friday, February 7, that PlayStation gamers were unable to access online features. Not long after, Sony confirmed that PSN was down, affecting everything from the PlayStation Store to any game that requires an internet connection to run. Outages are nothing new for PSN, but this has proven to be one of the longest to date, as the issues continued to persist into the following day.

Luckily, over the course of Saturday afternoon, PSN slowly began to come back online with more and more users able to log back in.
