Capcom is considering holding another Monster Hunter Wilds beta test due to the recent PlayStation Network outage. The interruption of service messed with the ongoing Monster Hunter Wilds open beta, preventing PS5 users from playing it for a whole day.

The second Monster Hunter Wilds open beta launched for the PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on February 6, at 10pm ET. A day later, the PlayStation Network went offline, making all online games on Sony's consoles unplayable. Sony took approximately 24 hours to restore its servers, which were back up and running in the late evening hours (ET) on Saturday, February 8.

As the global PlayStation Network outage enters its 18th hour, fans the world over lambast Sony over its lack of status updates.

In a subsequent statement, Capcom thanked fans for remaining patient while Sony worked to restore the PlayStation Network. The developer also acknowledged that the outage resulted in the second Monster Hunter Wilds beta test being shorter than planned.
