Bob Gale, the co-producer and co-writer of Back to the Future, has revealed that a new video game adaptation could be on the cards. Introduced in 1985, Back to the Future is a highly celebrated sci-fi movie trilogy and is widely considered to be one of the most iconic projects to come out of Hollywood.

There aren't many IPs in the world like Back to the Future that stay popular over a long stretch of time. More than three decades after the final entry in the film series hit the theaters, the franchise continues to generate interest from audiences who want more. Credit to its incredible fame, Back to the Future has been adapted into a variety of different formats, ranging from an animated TV series to a musical. More importantly, the Rob Zemeckis-directed movie franchise got a few video game adaptations as well, including one from Telltale Games in 2010. In the recent past, Marty McFly and Doc Brown appeared in the action-adventure game Funko Fusion in late 2024. Now, an admission from Bob Gale has brought the brewing idea of a brand-new game adaptation to the fore.
