Marvel Rivals Has a Major Announcement for Ranked Players

In a recent announcement, Marvel Rivals declared that it no longer plans to reset the ranks of its players during the upcoming mid-season update. Marvel Rivals' Season 1: Eternal Night Falls is almost halfway over, which means fans can expect to see a large patch on February 21. NetEase Games has announced that significant content is on the way, such as a new map and the remainder of The Fantastic Four.

On February 10, Marvel Rivals released Dev Talk 10 on their Twitter account, in which the developers stated that the mid-season update would come with a rank reset for Competitive players. While this wouldn't send everyone back to Bronze, it did mean all gamers would lose six ranks on February 21. The news shocked and upset a large portion of the Marvel Rivals community, causing them to take to social media and provide feedback to the developers. Many fans felt that losing ranks was unfair and would make Competitive play less fun. For the most part, the community seemed to understand that some kind of reset should be expected in between seasons, but not in the middle of one.
