The first trailers have emerged for MindsEye, showing off story and gameplay footage from the new sci-fi action game directed by Leslie Benzies, who helped produce some of Rockstar's best-loved titles. The MindsEye trailers debuted at the Sony State of Play broadcast held on February 12, 2025.
With the decline of large in-person events like E3 and the dominance of livestreaming, developer and platform showcase broadcasts like the Nintendo Direct and Sony State of Play are fast becoming the preferred way to show off games. Many fans are also beginning to prefer such online debuts, as they provide quick access to new game trailers and put the focus on the games themselves rather than the pageantry of an in-person event. For its part, Sony used the latest State of Play event to make a big update to the 2025 game release calendar, announcing launch windows and release dates for a number of previously announced titles while debuting a few new ones as well.
