Call of Duty: Modern Warfare players can now get a digital pet to level up.
A new patch has been released for Modern Warfare. The biggest addition to the game is in the form of a digital pets for players to take care of. The digital pet, the Tomogunchi, is available now in Modern Warfare's in-game store. There is one way to raise the little guy. And that is by killing. Earning kills, completing objectives, getting killstreaks, and accumulating wins will help the Tomogunchi grow and evolve. Perform poorly, however, and the digital pet will grow sad, and eventually die.
The Tomogunchi will start as an egg. The pet will eventually hatch, and will grow. The pet will grow from a Child to a Teen, and then into a full Adult. There are multiple pet forms that players can unlock. Players can check on their pet by hitting up on the d-pad, or in the Watch Select menu. Tomogunchi's will have a bonus charge meter on the display, which can evolve the pet more quickly than normal. Every pet has a different way to level up this meter, including captures and killstreaks. Figuring out which one the pet likes will help players evolve their Tomogunchi at a more rapid rate. The Tomogunchi will cost players 1000 MW points, which is $10 in real money.
The new Modern Warfare patch has also made some changes and tweaks to the game. New playlists have been added. Shoot the Ship is now available, and will take Dirty Old House Boat's place. 3v3 Gunfight will take 3v3 Snipers Only's place. Players will be able to take on each other one-on-one in the 1v1 Me Bro playlist. Giant Infection has been removed. Changes have been made to the Uzi, and a number of bugs have been fixed.
