Marvel Rivals Dev Comments on Possibility of Switch 2 Release

During the 2025 DICE Summit in Las Vegas, Marvel Rivals developer NetEase Games shared its interest in developing games on the Nintendo Switch 2, if given the chance. The Marvel Rivals development team also confirmed that they have been in contact with Nintendo and have been working on some development kits.

Since its January 16 reveal, discussions about the Switch 2 have dominated social media. Though some details remain light about what Nintendo's next console is capable of, Nintendo confirmed that most Switch games will be backward compatible with the Switch 2, though there are some exceptions. However, the excitement surrounding the new Nintendo system has also led to some unscrupulous behavior. Some early Switch 2 units have allegedly started to circulate on the black market for staggering prices that approached the $40,000 mark. It is unclear if any of these units have changed hands.
