A credible insider has claimed that Sony is internally debating the prospect of holding a PlayStation Showcase this summer. The last PlayStation Showcase aired in May 2023, following which Sony has solely stuck to its State of Play livestream format.
Before the PS5's launch in 2020, Sony debuted PlayStation Showcase as a bigger, more grandiose livestream format than State of Play, typically packed with more first-party game announcements.
