According to sources, China-based studio Papergames, the main developer of Infinity Nikki and Love and Deepspace, earned approximately $850 million in global sales throughout 2024. Although the worldwide release of Infinity Nikki was at the end of 2024, Papergames' success in China and nearby regions carried the bulk of their 2024 earnings.
Infinity Nikki is the fifth game in the Nikki series and was released worldwide on December 5. Infinity Nikki is an open-world 3D platformer that sees players control the titular character, Nikki, as she and her feline companion Momo explore the whimsical realm of Miraland on a quest to find magical Whimstars and fend off various dark forces. Infinity Nikki's main attraction is the dress-up styles players can use to gain new powers and change Nikki's look. Although Infinity Nikki is a free-to-play game, it also uses a gacha system for distributing some outfits. Infinity Nikki added new four-star outfits via a February 13 update.
