A new report from an industry insider claims Ubisoft staff are "confident" that Assassin's Creed Shadows will be ready for its March release date. Assassin's Creed Shadows was originally due to be released back in November 2024 before being delayed multiple times by Ubisoft over the past few months. While the title's most recent delay pushed it from February to March, Ubisoft now appears to be confident that Assassin's Creed Shadows ​​​​​​will not be delayed again.

After multiple layoffs throughout 2024 and the recent closure of Ubisoft Lemington back in January, the studio is likely hoping for Assassin's Creed Shadows to be a big hit with players. The series' outing to feudal Japan has been requested by Assassin's Creed fans for many years, but a report back in 2024 claimed that there have been numerous issues with the game's development. Ubisoft Quebec reportedly pushed for a delay for several months so that it could address "cultural and historical accuracy concerns" raised by the community, as well as to iron out any bugs.
