A credible insider has alleged that the long-rumored God of War remasters will be announced next month. The God of War franchise will celebrate its 20th anniversary in March 2025, and developer Santa Monica Studio may accompany it with a very special surprise for longstanding fans of the series.

According to the source of the rumor, the God of War remasters were being prepared to commemorate the series' 20th anniversary in 2025, and that they'd be revealed at The Game Awards 2024 in December. The latter part of this rumor didn't come to fruition, leading some to believe that the Greek God of War games might be heading to the PS Plus Premium classics catalog in 2025 instead of receiving remasters.
