A recent leak from Honkai: Star Rail is hinting at a brand-new free Light Cone coming to the game, set to be given out as an event reward during an upcoming patch. Light Cones serve as one of the HoYoverse sci-fi RPG's most influential means of improving a player's characters, granting powerful stat boosts alongside unique effects. Many of the game's Light Cones are also catered towards specific characters or playstyles, allowing players to further optimize their favorite units for maximum performance. Now, fans will soon get the chance to pick up a new Light Cone for free.
Honkai: Star Rail's Light Cones are typically found through two main methods, both within the gacha and during gameplay. Each new character added to the game comes with a coinciding Light Cone gacha banner, with a five-star Light Cone featured as the banner's main prize alongside the standard rotation. Some of the game's major events for its individual updates have also featured Light Cones as rewards, like "Before the Tutorial Mission Starts" and "For Tomorrow's Journey." One of Star Rail's next updates is now rumored to be adding a new event-exclusive Light Cone.
