Dungeons & Dragons has revealed the cover for the new Dragon Delves anthology book. Later this year, Wizards of the Coast will release its first adventure anthology released for D&D's revised 5th edition ruleset. The new adventure book, called Dragon Delves, features 10 adventures, all of which focus on D&D's most iconic creatures - the dragons themselves. Notably, this anthology breaks away from traditional D&D art styles, with each adventure featuring distinctive art primarily by one artist.
This weekend at Magic Con Chicago, Wizards of the Coast officially revealed the standard and alternate covers for Dragon Delves. The standard cover by British Magic: The Gathering artist Greg Staples features the five chromatic dragons looming over a group of three adventurers. The alternate cover art by artist Justine Jones shows a red dragon on a cover that uses bold, contrasting color choices, as seen on the official D&D Instagram page.
Officially revealed earlier this year, Dragon Delves will feature 10 short adventures. Each adventure focuses on either a different type of chromatic or metallic dragon, with some adventures featuring a fight against the dragon and others focused on assisting the dragon in some way.
