We now know what game the next DLC fighter for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will come from.
It has been announced that the next Super Smash Bros. Ultimate character will come from the Nintendo Switch title Arms. The announcement was made during a Nintendo Direct presentation that dropped today. Nintendo has not revealed which character from Arms will be Ultimate's next fighter. The new character will be announced and released sometime this June. However, Nintendo did note that release dates could be affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The fighter from Arms will be the first DLC character to be released as a part of Ultimate's Fighters Pass Vol. 2. The new Fighters Pass will set gamers back $30, and will come with six new DLC fighters. It can be assumed that all of the characters will come with their own music tracks and stage just like the fighters in the first DLC Pass.

Arms has up to four players choose a fighter and battle it out. The game's fighters all have extendable arms that let them punch, throw and block from a distance. Every character also has their own unique abilities. Players can customize their arms, which all have various weights and elemental attributes that will affect how they play.
The free Arms trial is just one perk that is a part of the Nintendo Switch Online program. The service allows gamers to play online for most Switch titles such as Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Players are also given access to a library of classic NES and SNES games. The service costs $4 for one month, $8 for three months, and $20 for one year. There is also a family plan for $35, which allows up to eight accounts have access to the subscriptions perks.
