Delta Force's free Black Hawk Down remake has launched to "Mostly Negative" reviews on Steam due to its high difficulty, poor performance, and "unreasonable" AI.
Late last year, Team Jade rebooted the long-missing in-action Delta Force series as a free-to-play shooter that melded together Battlefield, Escape from Tarkov, and, surprisingly, Overwatch. The end result was, just like both the Steam reviews and TheGamer's review make clear, a little mixed, with players liking the shooting and graphics, but finding it uninspired overall.
Delta Force is an enjoyable FPS, but it doesn't do enough yet to set itself apart from competitors.
Although the multiplayer parts of Delta Force split the community a bit, there was some hope that the post-launch single-player campaign, Black Hawk Down, would brighten things up a bit. That doesn't appear to be the case, however, as the campaign is being met with some very negative reviews since its launch last week.
