Fortnite is issuing refunds to several players and removing a Jam Track from their library after accidentally releasing a battle pass item to the in-game shop. The massively popular battle royale from Epic Games features a wide variety of methods for players to earn new items and cosmetics. Much of the game's array of cosmetics and items like Jam Tracks for Fortnite Festival are available through the in-game shop, while some are exclusive to the game's many battle passes. Now, Epic Games is walking back a mistake that saw a battle pass-exclusive item released to the shop.
Fortnite's seasonal battle passes are often a primary source for players to pick up exclusive cosmetics within the battle royale. Each season typically features its own unique theme with skins, Jam Tracks, and smaller cosmetics based around its central aesthetic, with the current "Lawless" season focused around criminals and villains. The current battle pass even features an exclusive crossover skin as well, with fans able to pick up Sub-Zero's look from Mortal Kombat 3 for a limited time. However, one particular item from the battle pass was erroneously released to the in-game shop.
