AMD Reveals Radeon RX 9070 And 9070 XT Price And Release Date

On February 28, AMD posted that its upcoming flagship graphics cards, the Radeon RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT, will be released on Thursday, March 6. The new AMD graphics cards will also retail at an attractive price point of just under $600, as the Radeon RX 9000 lineup looks to compete directly against Nvidia's RTX 50 series of GPUs.

The news of AMD's launch of the Radeon RX 9000 GPUs came following some controversy from its chief competitor. In early 2025, Nvidia launched the RTX 5090, 5080, and 5070 Ti GPUs, which sold out as quickly as they arrived. Although some PC builders were successful in purchasing a new card at MSRP, most of Nvidia's new stock has been scalped with markups reaching the $3,000 mark. Sadly, AMD has not escaped the gaze of scalpers, either. Some of the outgoing cards, like the Radeon RX 7900 XTX, have been resold at prices upwards of $1,000 due to dwindling stock and demand from gamers.

AMD's 8-core CPU is hard to find at MSRP despite having launched over two months ago.
