A petition was started yesterday by Disney Dreamlight Valley fans asking Gameloft to stop banning accounts that use multiplayer, and it has amassed over 1300 signatures in less than 24 hours. The multiplayer functionality in Dreamlight Valley was added nearly a year and a half ago and features very limited online interaction with other players, like entering the Valley owner's home, buying things from Scrooge's store, picking up dropped items, and a few more activities.

Recent anecdotal reports suggest that some players are being banned after using the multiplayer function in the game, leading to a public outcry from the community. The petition to stop multiplayer bans was started yesterday by Cassandra Valenzuela on Change.org, asking Gameloft to stop penalizing players for using an official feature implemented in the game.

The petition notes that restricting players from using a DDV feature that's an essential part of the game is unfair to the community, stating:

It is imperative to note that Disney Dreamlight Valley is a multiplayer game intended for interactions and fun with friends. By banning us for opting for the multiplayer portal, the game is restricting us from experiencing its full potential.
